Not only is this a good way to do something for the community, it is also a good way to support the Council. All of the tip money made as well as a percentage of our sales goes to the WAC. This year we really want our members to be available to come out an d help. So come out and work a four-hour shift and receive free entrance into the Three Rivers Music Festival! Global Connections Reception
The British Isles Rural Experience
Panel discussion followed by a wine and cheese reception
A Clemson University Visiting Lecture Series
Rural problems, issues and solutions transcend national boundaries. Dr. Lillis and Mr. Wilson are experts in the field of rural economic and community development in their respective countries. This cross-cultural experience will allow South Carolinians to understand that their rural issues are not unique and that others are grappling and sometimes succeeding with the same issues. Through this international exchange, we hope to understand current rural policy and program initiatives in the British Isles and share ‘best practices’ on how to renew and invigorate rural communities.
