Celebrating 10 years of  Making a World of Difference

Here are some highlights that will be making this year's 10^th Anniversary Global Vision Award Dinner particularly special. The elegant dcor, featuring ice sculptures and cascading flowers, will backdrop the exciting networking going on during the cocktail reception and dinner as we celebrate Making a World of Difference together.

First, WAC sponsored a Richland School District One art contest titled Children of the World in honor of this years recipient Jasper Salmond.  Realizing that peace, understanding, love of diversity, and curiosity in the world are often fostered at a young age, we encouraged youth to use art as a vehicle to show that they too are Making a World of Difference. The winning artwork from each grade will be on display at GVAD.

Second, we have a very special guest performance by Jac Mandel, a classical guitarist whose program showcases international works.  His talent brings life to musical pieces from Germany, Spain, Latin America and more.

Third, we will have a special video presentation honoring Jasper Salmond.  In the Adams Mark atrium will be a display on Mr. Salmonds life, career, and civic involvement and achievements.

Please keep Global Vision in mind and speak to co-workers and friends about it.  This is our only "fund raiser" and support of the event is vital to our yearly budget.  It is also an amazing opportunity to showcase WAC to the Midlands community.  Come celebrate the spirit and outstanding achievements of Jasper Salmond and the World Affairs Council!
